Stephen came to Maui in the summer of 1995 and never looked back. His love for sports made it easy to fall into the dirtboarding life. "When I first got here, Paul introduced me to the motorized skateboard and it was pretty much over from there." His size and weight made it alittle difficult in the beginning, but with bigger engines and lighter brackets he was up and running in no time. In 1998 he go his first real taste of downhill racing at the Dirt Duel, held in Snow Valley, CA. During this time he grew to love sport at a competitive level. Over the years he was able to become familiar with producing television and video, and is now heading up the Media Department for Maui Green Wave. "I can't get enough of the reaction you get after someone just saw the video you put together of the ride they had the day before."

The last few years he has been working on the television series Ballistic TV. The show consists of a number of alternative sports like surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding. "But the show really does focus on dirtboarding, with at least one segment in each show." With a new series coming out soon and the summer approaching, keep and eye out for the Maui Green Wave Team riders in your neighborhood.
